Privacy
This page describes what we collect when you register for a pilgrimage, why we need it, and how long we keep it. It is written plainly on purpose.
What we collect
To book and ticket a pilgrimage we ask for:
- Your name as it appears on your passport, and your date of birth
- Your email address, phone number and postal address
- Your passport number, issuing country and expiration date
- Your Global Entry or TSA PreCheck number, if you have one and choose to give it
- Your departure city and your insurance choice
- An emergency contact name and phone number
We ask for passport details because our ticketing agent cannot book international flights without them. We do not ask for anything we do not need to get you on the airplane and looked after while you travel.
What we never see
We never see your card or bank details. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number goes to Stripe directly and is never stored on, or passed through, our systems.
How it is protected
Your passport number, date of birth and known-traveler number are encrypted before they are stored. Only our director and our ticketing agent can decrypt them, and every single time one of them does so, it is recorded — who looked, at what, and when.
How long we keep it
Passport details, date of birth and known-traveler numbers are deleted 90 days after your pilgrimage ends. Your name, contact details and the record of which pilgrimages you have traveled on are kept, so that we recognize you when you travel with us again. You can ask us to delete those too.
Prayer requests
Prayer intentions sent from our home page are anonymous. We keep only the words you write and the date they arrived: no name, email or other detail about you. They are printed and carried up Apparition Hill without being read, presented before Our Lady, and then burned. Once printed, they are deleted from our website.
Hearing about new dates
If you ask to hear about new pilgrimage dates, we keep your name, your email address, the date you signed up and which page you used. We use them only to tell you when new dates open. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, or write to us and we will take you off the list.
Suggestions for future pilgrimages
If you send a suggestion from the Pilgrimages page, we keep what you wrote and when, plus your name and email only if you chose to give them. We use them to plan future pilgrimages and, if you left an address, to reply. We delete suggestions once we have read and dealt with them.
Sharing your details with your group
When you register you can choose to share your first name, last initial, city, email and phone with the other pilgrims on the same trip. If you do, they appear on the private travel page we send to those pilgrims, so you can get in touch before you travel. It is off unless you tick it, and you can ask us to take you off at any time.
Who we share it with
- Our ticketing agent, so they can book your flights.
- The accommodation and ground operators for your pilgrimage, so they know who is arriving.
- Stripe, to take payment.
- Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Asking us about your information
